On 6:30 pm, Oct 11, 2012 (Uganda time), Dr. Xiao Limin, the chairman of Guangdong Hengfuan Investment Co., Ltd, Mr.Liu Yizhong, the General manager of GDFC, and Mr. He Sili, the Vice General Manager of GDFC, together with Mr.Guoxin and Mr. Yinqi, the team leader and member of the Uganda work team of China Development Bank, paid a formal visit to His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda. Mr. Tumwebaze K. Frank, Minister in Charge of Presidency of Uganda, was also present. Mr. Tu Hong and Ms. Liu Qiaohui, 2 staff of GDFC, were as well present. 

After extending his gratitude for President’s reception, Dr. Xiao Limin introduced briefly GDFC and purposes of visit, as well as that GDFC had signed a framework cooperation agreement and set up a strategic development partnership with China Development Bank (CBD). Mr. Guoxin, the team leader of CBD work team in Uganda, expressed the willingness of CBD to provide supports to African Countries on infrastructure, basic industry and major project construction.

President Museveni showed warm welcome to support from China. Then, both parties communicated pleasantly on project contracting and investment in Uganda of GDFC. The President extended his full support on our Uganda Vision, and asked the Minister to have a detail discussion with our company. At the same time, the President said Uganda needs capable foreign investors in areas like infrastructure construction and real estate development.

After the meeting,Dr. Xiaolimin presented a blue and white porcelain tea set and Canton embroidery to the President as gifts. The president walked with the delegation to the door and had photos with everyone to mark the occasion.
