Accompanied by Mr. Han Dianfeng, General Manager of Guangdong Foreign Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GDFC), Mr. Xiao Chuqing, Deputy Director of Project Headquarters in the Kingdom of Cambodia and other staff, Dr. Xiao Limin, Board Chairman of Guangdong Jiangong Investment Co., Ltd. and Director of GDFC, inspected Dang Kambet Reservoir Development Project in Kampong Thom Province and Stung Prek Thnot Irrigation and Flood Control Project being constructed by GDFC from April 24 to May 2, 2024. Dr. Xiao Limin went into the front line of the site to check the work, and checked and learnt about in detail progress of the projects, quality management, safe and civilized construction, cost control, workflow, etc. During the inspection in Dang Kambet Reservoir Project in Kampong Thom Province, Dr. Xiao Limin acknowledged the quality, progress and safety management of the project and put forward some suggestions and opinions. Subsequently, during the inspection in Stung Prek Thnot Irrigation and Flood Control Project, Dr. Xiao Limin exchanged views with engineering technical and managerial personnel and Consultant engineers, acknowledged the effect of adopting protection scheme of flexible bodies for the river, and also emphasized that the project management department shall do a good job in sodding slope protection and copping, use high standards and make strict requirements in construction quality, focusing on the key elements such as material selection, construction technology, and technical specifications, and pay attention to the landscape and environmental protection utility of the project. After the site inspection, Dr. Xiao Limin held staff symposiums in the project management departments and in the Project Headquarters in Phnom Penh respectively. Project managers and personnel from the Administration Office, the Finance Department, the Material Department, and the Business Department of Project Headquarters, the Material Center, and the Garage reported in detail on the basic situation of the project, construction progress, work plans, market development, department management, and existing problems and their solutions, and so on. Dr. Xiao Limin acknowledged and praised for the work carried out by the project management departments and the Project Headquarters, and at the same time he gave important instructions and made requirements: 1. It is hoped that everyone will support the work of Mr. Han Dianfeng as general manager. Projects in Cambodia is the important core of GDFC, and we shoulder heavy responsibilities, so everyone should stand on a higher position and share the work of Mr. Han. 2. It is hoped that Mr. Han Dainfeng will shoulder the responsibility of General Manager while keeping and developing the Cambodian market. 3. Resolutely keep the market of GCL and PBC projects in Cambodia. The projects are hard to win. The safety and quality of the project must be ensured, and everyone shall be responsible for the project, and be responsible for the Company. 4. Do well in the management of the two projects under construction, strive to achieve and exceed the target tasks, and realize the benefits in management. Under the premise of ensuring the safe operation of the project, optimize the program agreed by the Designer, the Consultant and the Employer. In terms of quality, our company shall be an enterprise with conscience and there shall be no jerry-building. Cost saving shall be considered from the perspective of optimizing design drawings, improving labor efficiency, being practiced at work processes, no rework, and no waste. 5. The original intention of establishing the Material Center is to open trade channels and diversify business. We shall make full use of the platform of the Material Center to earn money in the market and train the team. For the external business repairs, the Garage shall ensure the quality and on-time delivery, improve the level of repair, and build a good reputation and image. 6. Develop new business channels, carry out more international contracting projects. We shall look beyond, not just limited to GCL and PBC projects and not only in Cambodia, but also we can invest in other countries such as Myanmar, Papua New Guinea and other countries. For example, we can carry out cooperation in information technology and smart projects; cooperate with mechanical and electrical equipment installation companies in Koh Kong province, Preah Sihanouk province and Guangdong province; and strive for China's foreign aid funds for us to be responsible for implementation of the planned projects in Cambodia's Fish and Rice Corridor, Tonle Sap, Mekong River, and other diversified businesses. 7. Everyone shall work more attentively, cherish your jobs, open your mind, do not flatter others, do not put on airs, work pragmatically, be upfront with others, help each other, define your position and role, make concerted efforts, and clarify responsibilities. 8. The Project Headquarters and project management departments should strengthen corporate culture and team-building, usually organize more activities to keep the staff physically and mentally healthy, and ask everyone to take care of themselves when going out. At the symposium, all departments said that under the correct leadership of the Company, they would further improve the management level, focus on safety, quality, cost, progress and other aspects, strengthen the all-round management of the project, pool their efforts, enhance confidence and courage, effectively achieve scientific planning, careful construction, and optimization of the staff structure, focus on building projects with conscience, and strive to complete the production, construction and market development tasks. ...
