Bidding farewell to the good fortune of the dragon year, we ushers luckiness of the sneak year. In a time to ring out the Old Year and ring in the New Year, we had a grand annual meeting for Guangdong Foreign Construction Co., Ltd. On Feb 2nd, 2013, the annual meeting was held in Guangzhou Sunshine Hotel, with the presence of Dr. Xiao Limin, the Board Chairman of Guangdong Hengfuan Investment Co., Ltd and Guangdong Jiangong Investment Co., Ltd, Mr. Zhou You, the Board Chairman, Mr. Liu Yizhong, the General Manager, Mr. He Sili, the Vice General Manager, and Mr. Zhao Guanghua, the Vice General Manager of GDFC. Besides, staff of different department, representatives of all branch companies, and guests from associate organization gathered in this annual meeting.

Chairman Zhou You made a speech on behalf of the company leaders. He extended gratitude to the long-term support of the guests and friends from all sectors of society, and expressed thankfulness and blessing for the whole-year hardworking of all staff. He pointed out that the hard-earned achievements of our company cannot be done without the sincere cooperation of all departments, the dedicating contribution of all project departments, the striving endeavor of all branch companies, the great support of friends from all sectors of society, and the attentive devotion of every staff. Then he encouraged all staff to continue to carry forward the sprite of hardworking and enterprising, dedicating and unshaken faith to open up a new frontier for GDFC. Once again, he expressed his best regards and sincere thanks to every staff that remain at their post during spring festival, and asked them to convey his New Year blessings to their families.

Then, Dr. Xiao Limin delivered a speech representing the board of shareholders. He recognized the achievements of our company, which are: (1) basing on the under construction projects, the company set foot in surrounding market with a target of area rolling development. By now, the company has form a market pattern of tripartite confrontation of ASEAN, East Africa and South pacific areas with foundation in Cambodia, Burundi and Papua New Guinea, as well as expanding new markets in Myanmar, Uganda and Kenya; (2) to expand to high-end capital operation areas like BT and BOT in a way of active trying to earn market with investment. At the moment, our company has invested in Mingyue Mountain International Hot Spring Resort (now trail operation), Longping High-tech Eco-agriculture Demonstration Garden Project and Mingyue Mountain Sewage Treatment Plant BOT Projects, etc. Imaging the bright future, he impromptu composed a poem that a great ambition of “be confident in your life for 2 hundred years, you can aroused waves as long as three thousand miles” just aroused spontaneously.

The party was very brilliant with continuous programs. The general manager, Mr. Liu Yizhong sang a song named “Boat Song of Wusuli”, whose deep emotion and professional singing level amused everyone.
