Company Leaders Attending the 1st Conference of Sino-Australia Infrastructure Construction Cooperation Held in Canberra

On the 18th of November in 2013,a delegation team led by Director Wang Shenyang from the Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China visited the Infrastructure and Regional Development Department of the Austrian Federal Government, and together with Ms. Jessica—Vice Director of Infrastructure Investment Department, Mr. Wang Shenyang hostedthe 1st conference of Sino-Australia Infrastructure Construction Cooperation. Doctor Xiao Limin, Board Chairman of Guangdong Hengfuan Investment Co., Ltd and Director of GDFC, General Manager Liu Yizhong of GDFC accompanied the delegation for attendance.Before this conference, Company Leaders have warmly communicated with the management staffs for the projects under construction in Papua New Guinea, and have investigated the Southern Pacific Market.

It is known that both the Chinese and Australian Partieshave introduced the mechanisms, policies and crucial project information of their own infrastructure development and construction respectively, have determined through consultation the work schedule for the short term and have signed the “Regulations for the Work Team”. Both parties concerned agreed that Australia now is in the crucial stage of massive improvement for the infrastructure, while the engineering construction enterprises from China have lot of experience for international infrastructure construction, the Sino-Australia infrastructure construction cooperation has a bright future.The work team decided to continue the communication and understanding between the 2 governments, and among the industrial associations and enterprises through the secretariat, promoting the cooperation for the infrastructure construction between the two countries.

Chairman DiaoChunhe from China International Contractors Association, some representatives for the Chinese enterprises, Mr. Huang Rengang--Counsellor with the rank of Minister from the Chinese Embassy in Australia, and Mr. Penggang—Counsellor from Chinese Consulate General in Sydney attended the conference.The Australian representatives include the officials in charge from Infrastructure and Regional Development Department, National Treasury Department, Foreign Affairs & Trading Department, Australian Trading Committee, Industrial Department, Infrastructure Bureau, New South Wales State, Victoria State, Queensland State, West Australia State and North Territory.
