Papua New Guinea University of Goroka midwifery training school project is located in Papua New Guinea Eastern Highlands, within the Goroka University experimental farm land, and this school is an Australian aid program to Papua New Guinea. The project started on May 9, 2013 and was completed on January 28, 2014.
The project owner, the Australian Government was represented by Charles Kendall & Partners; the ProDesignersArchitects(PNG)Ltd company, carried out the architectural design, and it was also the Supervisor of the project; structural design unit was Hitolo & Associates Ltd.. GDFC implemented the project as the general contractor.
The design was conforme to the Papua New Guinea and the Australian Designing Building Standards, with 28m / s wind speed, class 2 terrain topography, category 4 anti-seismic intensity design. The Project consists of one teaching building and four free-standing dormitories.
