Jiangxi Branch Holds Training of Bill of Quantities and Cost Control

In order to further improve the business operating level on project managing and construction cost of project team personnel of Jiangxi Branch, guarantee construction quality and cost control of projects, prevent risks during different stage of construction, and protect the legitimate interest of our company, Jiangxi Branch held a training on bill of quantities and cost control on 18:00 Jan 8, 2015. The training was given by Mr. Kan Guoqian, manager of company Marketing Department, and Mrs. Ma Zhiyun, manager of Jiangxi Branch, Mr. Cheng Jun, project manager of Weijing Project, Mr. Wang Junwei, project manager of Yuezhiquan Project, as well as personnel of projects in Jiangxi attended this training. 

Mr. Kan first introduced the differences among the 2003 version, 2008 version, 2013 version of Bill of Quantities Valuation Standard of Construction Projects, as well as the FIDIC terms of international engineering, and elaborated in detail the newly-added and key content of the 2013 Bill of Quantities Valuation Standard of Construction Projects. Then, combining his own experiences and cases of domestic and overseas projects and the current projects of Jiangxi Branch, he emphasized the cost control in domestic and overseas tendering and bidding, project construction, project management and contract management both from the perspective of employer and contractor.

Profound theories were explained in simple language that the lively training enthralled all the participants. After the training, they also discussed deeply about the current and future bill of quantities and cost control of the Yuezhiquan Project. The participants benefited a lot from this training and recognized that under the more and more fierce market competition, if we want to reduce cost price of construction projects, achieve prospective economic benefit and boost company profit, it is essential to strengthen the control management on project cost, implement production tasks and responsibilities in place to make sure the smooth completion of the construction projects.
