Engineering Site: Mid-stream Section of Meijiang River in Meizhou City

Engineering Nature and Scope: Primarily for electricity generation, also for functions of flood control, navigation and irrigation. The total installed capacity is 75 thousand kilowatts. The total reservoir capacity is 340 million cubic meters. The total investment is 980 million RMB. The annual generation capacity is 311 million kilowatt-hours.

Engineering Contents: main dam is 625 m wide totally, generation plant is located on the right bank, it has a 19-hole water release sluice, there is a 300 ton navigation gate, both banks connecting to earth dams, auxiliary transformer substation.

Commence and completion dates: started on 1st of September in 2006, confer dam enclosure was done on 1st of October in 2006, the 1st phase was verified and approved on 10th of May,2007, and it was put into formal operation in December of 2010.
